Thief

The intruder

All black and shade,

Like a late night knower

A slight.

Up the willow, through the window.

Into a room

Almost as dark as he.

Almost.

Quick fingers,

Grip and snatch.

A fishing rod with a magnet attached.

Catching the iron fish.

Not long now.

The door opens.

Lucky heโ€™s half asleep

And yawning in surprise.

Cutting through the room,

It came.

That which he hates.

But the dark hates the light,

And so

Gone he was.

Legged it faster,

Than a hare on steroids.
